Written by SeekLMS Correspondent on 08 March 2022

Mobile learning is a trend in corporate education and contributes a lot to knowledge sharing and interactions between and with employees.

But, in order to explore the full potential of mobile learning, it is necessary to take into account the characteristics of mobile technologies and think of strategies that, in fact, promote a learning culture in your organization.

It is important for you to know that you cannot just transfer the content of face-to-face training to mobile learning. It will be necessary to adapt this content, taking into account issues such as screen size, language, access methods, among others.

The content of online training in mobile learning

The content needs to be dynamic and objective, with short texts that allow an adequate font size even on smaller screens. And the language must be dialogued, stimulating interaction between employees.

As for the images, try to use images that do not have much detail, allowing communication to be done without the person having to zoom in. If you are going to work with videos, also try to keep them shorter, with a maximum of 3 minutes.

Another important point is the duration of your training activities. Mobile learning can be done anytime and anywhere. Therefore, it is interesting to try to keep it course, lasting 10 to 15 minutes.

If you are adapting content that is very extensive, you can try to divide it into modules and make these modules available little by little, like once a week or every other day. Thus, you also promote continuous learning, allowing all your employees to learn a little every day.

As for the approach, you can use different formats, such as videos, podcasts, decision making, training with gamification, quiz

It's also nice that you try to explore the specific features of mobile devices, such as cameras, GPS apps, messaging apps, headphones. Anyway, all this helps your training activities to be more dynamic, more engaging and put your employee in an active role in your learning process!
